Thermal expansion

This phenomenon consists in changing the geometric measurements (dimensions, areas, volume) of a body due to the change in its temperature. Normally the dimensions increase with increasing temperature, but there are also anomalous situations (anomalies) in which some substances contract when the temperature increases within a certain range.
